Q. HOW DO I REACH DEHRADUN? 

The DDN station is connected to all major cities of the country by train. There are good bus services that connect Dehradun to all nearby cities. If you plan to use the airways then you will reach Jolly grant airport which is approximately 35 kms from the campus.  

Q. HOW TO REACH THE UPES CAMPUS ON ARRIVAL AT DEHRADUN? 

If you are at the railway station, then you can take a cab for the campus which will charge approximately Rs.500. The auto from the station to the campus will charge you Rs. 350.

Q. WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I HAVE TO BRING IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE OR TO AVAIL ACCOMMODATION? 

In order to avail the accommodation you have to send a Demand Draft in the name of UPES Fee A/C payable at Dehradun. The cost of accommodation is Rs. 300 per day. You are required to mail the copy of the DD with mail subject, Accommodation Draft to support@igniteupes.com. Also, write necessary details inclusive of your Name, Institution, Address etc., behind the DD. You will receive a confirmation letter from our end as soon as we receive the draft. Bring the same to avail the accommodation during Ignite. It is of absolute importance that you carry your Institute Identity Card with you. Apart from this, participants are required to bring atleast 2 recent photographs and an acceptable ID proof.

Q. WHAT ALL IS INCLUDED IN THE ACCOMODATION PACKAGE?

You will be provided with all the basic amenities including a 3-course meal. Transportation from the campus are also covered under the same.  

Q. WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME? 

The participants will be provided with mattresses and blankets so you need not stuff your backpack with these items. You MUST carry your institute I card with you. Participants of various events should bring anything that is required for their respective events. Regarding this, you can contact the respective coordinators of the events. 

Q. I HAVE A GOOD FRIEND AT DDN. IS THERE A CHANCE I CAN PUT UP WITH MY FRIEND? 

Of course! If you have a good friend we won't play spoilsport. You can always put up with your friends and indulge in the camaraderie. But registration in the site and for accommodation is mandatory. 

Q. WHAT CONDUCT DO YOU EXPECT OF ME? 

During Ignite, the otherwise serene campus is transformed into a vibrant hub with students from various colleges coming together. However, it is required that you follow a proper code of conduct. Any instance of hooliganism, indecent behavior and rowdiness will not be tolerated. If found indulging in any misconduct, the participant shall be asked to leave immediately along with his team/ contingent. 

Q. WHAT ABOUT THE SECURITY OF MY BELONGINGS INSIDE THE CAMPUS? 

UPES Dehradun has round the clock security everywhere in the campus. Volunteers will also be present at the accommodation venues. All said and done, we request you to avoid carrying expensive item. 

Q. IN CASE OF ANY HEALTH PROBLEM, WHERE SHOULD I GO? 

We have an infirmary inside the campus that will take care of your medical problems, if any. In case of any illness, you or your team members can contact the control room and we shall ensure immediate action.

Q. I HAVE WITH ME MY HARDWARE DESIGNS WHICH WOULD NEED REGULAR POWER SUPPLY TO WORK WITH. DO I GET PROVISIONS OF POWER PLUGS? 

Power Plugs are not much in number and hence all the work related to power, if possible should be completed before you come over here to Dehradun.
